Flat Rock Farm is proud to offer naturally pastured, heritage beef from our highland cattle raised without hormones or antibiotics.

This rugged breed is known for its long horns and shaggy hair. In fact, it is the double coats that make all the difference. Highlanders were developed as a breed in the rough terrain of Northern Scotland where their warm coats prevented a need for growing a layer of insulating fat. As a result, Highlanders produce lean meat with a distinguished taste.

Our cows are born and raised here on our family farm, and spend their lives in a humane, natural habitat, roaming through varied terrain of the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts.
